Ingredients
Dough:
- 0.5 ounce active dry yeast (2 – .25 ounce packets)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups milk (heated to 100-110 degrees F)
- 6-7 cups all purpose flour divided
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 Tablespoon fresh orange zest (to 2 Tablespoons orange zest)
Filling:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 Tablespoons cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter softened
Cannoli Frosting:
- 1 cup ricotta cheese drained overnight if needed
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon fresh orange juice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 dash salt
- 1 (10 ounce) bag mini chocolate chips
