Almond Ricotta Cake Is Both Traditional and Delicious

Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cups all purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened (one stick)
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 15 ounce container whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • ½ cup almonds, finely chopped

Topping

Greasing pan

  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
