On March 24, Italy will unveil more than 1,000 cultural monuments, archaeological areas and hidden treasures that are typically kept out of the public’s view.

The list includes ornate villas, hidden gardens, historic castles, churches, museums and other secret gems, according to The Local.

It’s part of the ‘Giornate FAI di primavera’ (spring days of FAI), an initiative promoted by the Italian National Trust, which will celebrate its 26th anniversary this year.

The coveted event has grown in size, offering sightseers more brilliant and beautiful artworks and locales.
