Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga Bond Over Italian-American Roots While Filming Acclaimed ‘A Star Is Born’

Actor/director Bradley Cooper is swooning over Lady Gaga, and the pair’s East Coast Italian-American roots, as the two promote their new film, A Star Is Born.

“I didn’t know you were Italian. I remember when we first met, after 10 minutes we were eating homemade food that she cooked – I love to eat – and that was actually a huge bond that we both came from East Coast Italian-American families,” Cooper told Variety at the Venice Film Festival, where the new film premiered.

Cooper is from Philadelphia, while Gage (aka Stefatni Angelina Germanotta) hails from Manhattan.

Here’s the pair on the red carpet over the weekend:

The film opened to rave reviews, premieres in the U.S. Oct. 5 and tells the story of an aging, addicted musician slipping away from the limelight who gives a new artist the chance to succeed.
