Madonna Del Sacro Monte Feast Unites Italian Tradition and Heritage in NJ

The smell of sausage and peppers, the sound of mandolins, and the sense that everyone is family defines this East Coast feast.

The expansive grounds of the Holy Face Monastery in Clifton, N.J. offer a unique backdrop that breaks away from the typical Italian-American street festival.

Here you’ll find palatial views, old stone architecture and Italian Americans of all ages, who gather to celebrate the annual Madonna Del Sacro Monte Feast.

The Italian Sons of Daughters of America New Jersey lodge puts on the historic one-day event, which attracts scores of Feast-goers who soak in Italian tunes and fill up on homemade fare.

Everyone is welcome to the mass, grand procession and Feast Day celebration on Sunday, May 19–Join Us!
